INNOVATION BY TRADITION

Reshaping tradition into the essence of modernity.

Conchita Perez is an independent designer label redefining the essential form of fashion from an unconventional angle, one that is communicative, artistic and deeply human. The resulting garments use shape, fabric, precise cutting and balanced proportions to deliver a highly crafted silhouette for the 21st century.

At Conchita Perez, we strive to design a better future. By combining creativity, imagination, and innovation, we create alternative fashion solutions that bring integrity and longevity to our actions and the clothes we wear. Combining traditional techniques with innovative processes and designs in an experimental and revolutionary way, we are reshaping tradition into the essence of modernity.

Be local, go global.

We are a small and passionate, highly skilled crafts team that designs and handcrafts each piece. We are committed to preserving our beautiful planet, we are mindful of our footprint, and everything we create is made with love, authenticity, and integrity in our Hackney production studio in London.

Deeply conscious of the environmental impact of overproduction, we only produce on demand, make to order so every item is unique or part of a limited-edition. Clothing is expecting to be made within four weeks after the order is placed.

As part of our commitment to long-lasting and comfortable products, we work with local suppliers who deliver natural and high-quality materials and we hand screen printed some of the fabric in our studio in hackney, London.

The form and function of beauty.

Whether it’s a food, landscape, art or even our relationship with each other, beauty helps us form relationships with our environment. A person’s beauty is much more than just a superficial aesthetic. It is a fundamental part of the way a person understands and interacts with the world.

Influencer and visionary.

Conchita Perez develops her collection using innovative new pattern technologies that change the way we make and wear clothes. Founded in East London, her creative hub combines design and micro-manufacturing. She works with partner and art director Philip McCormack and a small team to create innovative designs and ways to reach and engage audiences.

During London Fashion Week, Conchita Perez produced four collections and shows called Signs & Signals. Inspired by three-dimensional shapes in nature, math and science CP created innovative forms and shapes, offering new perspectives on women's clothing.

The London shows were a collaborative project produced by Phillip McCormack. Through a multidisciplinary approach CP explored alternative ways to present collections digitally, partnering with businesses, creatives and artists. With the shows reaching more than 120.000 online viewers, CP label has received acclaim from industry leaders such as Vogue, The Times, Hint Magazine and Trendland.

Recognised as an expert in the field, Conchita teaches Women’s wear Design & Technology at the UCA and UAL, London College of Fashion, helping students realise their ideas. She also runs fashion design apprenticeships for young people starting out.

The founder

Conchita Perez was born in Spain and moved to London at the age of 19 to study Fashion Design. Over the course of several years, she gained additional knowledge and skills in the technical construction of clothing, design and business. She has worked for a number of globally recognized designers, including Boudicca, Hardy Amies on Savile Row, and Alexander McQueen.

Later, she moved into the costume industry, working for Angels the Costumiers, Stevie Stewart Body Map, Academy Costumes, films and TV series for Netflix such as Bridgerton. She developed a variety of cutting techniques based on historical periods, which she still uses for inspiration today. She is known for her precise workmanship in her couture pieces, as well as exuberant and playful designs. Her creative use of shapes and fabrics adds a touch of imagination to her collections, as does her precise design technique that emphasises balance, proportion, and cut.

Before starting her own label, she worked as head designer for Bershka, Inditex group, where some of her designs became best sellers. Through this work, she realised the key role creativity plays in achieving success within this industry. By using her distinct creativity, she believes her views and skills will have greater impact in the world.
